The first sentence of the article is

The Albury Gold Cup is a horse race in the North-East of Victoria and Southern New South Wales.

Which bridge(s) does it cross? The race can't be in both states without crossing a bridge. People who write tiny stubs containing a fraction of the interesting knowledge they obviously have on a subject annoy me. Alternatively, people who write patent nonsense in an encyclopaedia annoy me too. --ScottDavis 01:28, 27 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your point. However, Albury is in southern New South Wales but considers itself part of the north east Victoria region. I therefore understand what the writer (who is new to Wikipedia) was trying to say.--AYArktos 01:56, 27 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean the Albury (NSW) Gold Cup is held at a track in Victoria? I also notice that it was you who deleted this author's reference to the Gold Cup from Albury, New South Wales. --ScottDavis 02:32, 27 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted reference to Gold Cup as it was in same para as Golden Throw which was nonsense. I have now resinserted ref back in Albury article and redirected this stub there. --AYArktos 01:33, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Much better. Thanks. --ScottDavis 02:56, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
