Hi, and thanks for the note. Yes, your picture is better than mine, so that's good! It's not so good of an idea to upload over a different existing picture though; suppose one wanted to use the previous picture to illustrate Russian scaffolding practices :-), or a before/after comparison of cathedral renovation, or some such? Not only that, but now User:Stan Shebs/Gallery has magically acquired one of your pictures - if you hadn't dropped me the note, I would have quite confused the next time I went to look at it. :-) So in the future you should generally pick a unique name - some users, for instance Adam Carr and Adrian Pingstone, add their initials to the file name (thus the mysterious "ac" and "arp" bits you see in some) although I don't think it's necessary to go quite that far. Anyway, I'm hoping to see you upload many more images! The first two are a great start. Stan 14:02, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the support. Do you want me to move that photo to a new name? --d 23:03, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Your image of Church of the Savior on Blood was good for Alexander II of Russia too, so i added it there. Keep the images coming: I'll keep to secondary uses!Wetman 21:37, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I noticed that you commented about the lead section on the FAC nomination of Mark Latham. Is there any chance you could have a go at fixing it? I tried to create one this morning in response to the criticism, and while it's better than nothing at the moment, they're really not my forte. Ambi 05:48, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks! :) Ambi 07:26, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the Latham photo, it looks much better. I isn't under any license, I took it myself. Adam 08:07, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Images[edit]

Hi David,

No problem -- I'll be sending the pictures soon. The thing was, I just snapped some photos at 1600x1200 and used iPhoto on the Apple Macintosh to shrink them to 640x480. As a result some have lost a bit of perfection.

Hi David. I agree with you about Townsville, Queensland. My picture is a real dud but it is the only one I had. Your is much better (but thumbnailed much too small). Tannin 10:36, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Hello David. I can sympathize with this, and have been reverting, where necessary, although I think I can defend myself if people question me about it. See the history for Rani Mukerji to see what I mean. User:Zora continually has to revert fanmail, but seeing as the people who are fanmailing are only interested in one article, the chances of a complaint being lodged are slim. Especially as there is only one revert per day, even though it may be ongoing. people at WikiProject Indian Cinema know about this article. It's just about one fan and another anti-Ajith person who continually revert each other, and a few more like us trying to keep the article normal.
