Talk:Political Wire

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Political Wire [...] is arguably the most influential, freely-available source of political news and information available on the Internet."

"To differentiate itself from many other political blogs, the site also uses dozens of RSS feeds in a web-based news aggregator to live up to its tagline: "All the political news in one place."

Browsing through the first external link cited on the page clearly shows me that this is almost ridiculously restricted to what goes on in the United States. Please mention this in your article!

Also, if "Political Wire was one of the first political weblogs", why is it not mentioned in the long article on weblogs? Should it be mentioned there?

Readership[edit]

Every blog has intended versus actual readership. Only through documenting readership can a blog maintain its reach to intended audience. In this case, Goddard's intended audience is across all ethnicity and political spectrum. Yet so far, the only audience Political Wire successfully reached appears to be a very limited group. Therefore it is important to document the difference between Political Wire's intended versus actual audience. Please provide your response as to why readership should not be included. This message is specifically for user logged in from IP address 96.246.243.190 who repeatedly deleted readership description.

What bozo is neglecting to keep this page maintained? The "Readership" section reads less like an encyclopedic page and more like an argument about partisanship. Spartacusprime (talk) 19:29, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the Fishbowl DC thing is nonsense. It's no secret where Goddard's sympathies lay. The perspective of the posts on Political Wire is quite clear and he's posted numerous times hawking "Blue Wave" merchandise. The commenters on the site are single-minded and vicious and he occasionally chimes in as well. 174.54.55.52 (talk) 16:02, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
