Simpson Gene[edit]

More Simpsons granularity. The "biological interpretation" which attempts to link two episodes together is certainly interesting from a technical standpoint, but it is original research/personal essay; furthermore, to quote IMDb, "...while efforts are certainly made to create a vaguely consistent setting in which mostly consistent characters live and work, the emphasis is clearly on laughs." • Keep the content, maybe merge with episodes or something. It looks OK. Everyking 06:09, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep content somewhere, merging with episodes would be fine. siroχo 09:06, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
    • Keep content? Did you read the second half? It's comprised entirely of conjecture from the author. - Vague Rant 13:43, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: The people who want to "keep it somewhere" should say where, and perhaps do the merges. This is just a joke from a show. Geogre 15:34, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • I agree on the keeping of content - there seems to me that there's a bona fide article lurking in there, about medical science and the Simpsons. Needs new title, but merge useful info into a new page? (Maybe I'll give it a shot tonight!) NiceGuyJoey 20:47, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Speculative content should be deleted under the "no original research" rule. The remainder is trivia that might be acceptable within some larger article but does not support a stand-alone article. Rossami (talk) 06:58, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, the Simpson gene was genuinely mentioned in an episode of The Simpsons. Therefore that article is just as the legitimate as the article on The Simpsons tv show. -- Crevaner 11:28, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete first choice, merge second. If article stays, needs to move to proper capitalization. Niteowlneils

  • Bad geeky joke from a biologist who likes the Simpsons. When you move it to BJAODN, please remember to keep my review on the talk page with it :) Joe D (t) 00:19, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
