Ack, you took that picture of the U of R at a good time - usually the lake is a lot greener and nastier than it looks :)
Of course, I went down for a month during the summer, so... heh, we got stuck in a thunderstorm or two, had to stay in the Commons for hours... was rather fun :) ugen64 05:07, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thought you might want to know about this, it has the same goals as Wikipedia:WikiProject Photography, but is better organized. If you have any questions, please contact me on my talk page. --Gphototalk 19:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:CTPopeningscreen.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:CTPopeningscreen.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:16, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your POV at Current Events[edit]

The statements about Palestinians firing rockets into Israel are no more POV than the statements by anonymous "witnesses and medics" who are reporting the air strikes on the Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets, in fact, since they are reported by a named source, namely the Israeli military they are more likely reliable and verifiable. The only real POV here appears to be your attempt to censor the cause of the airstrike to create the false impression that they were random and inexplicable. There is no opinion or interpretation that can be construed here as POV - it's clear from the sources that militants in Gaza fired rockets at Israel and then the Israeli airstrikes took place. Not even al Jazeera and Xinhua, which are hostile in their reporting on Israel, attempt to deny that. So I'm restoring the facts of the case that you've censored to suit your POV. Then why the reluctance to attribute the statements you want included in the current event item to the IDF like the supporting articles do? This would clear up the NPOV problem with the item as now written. Amadeust (talk) 00:40, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
