Wikipedia is not a place for Users to conduct other business. RickK 22:28, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)

 • I would think a warning on his Talk page, which I see you've already done, and perhaps an attempt to contact him via email, would be sufficient. Listing this on VfD seems like overkill. Just tell him to Wiki-sin no more. I think we can afford a couple of kilobytes until he finds some appropriate webspace of his own. Unless you know more than I do about this user's conduct. Sure this is abuse, but it's nano-abuse. Dpbsmith (talk) 00:12, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Delete. This is not appropriate use of Wikipedia resources. -Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 14:25, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • To delete this is, I think, beyond our authority. That being said, it should be deleted by appropriate people ASAP. We are not a public scratchpad. --Improv 14:55, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Comment I'm in receipt of an email from the user, saying he didn't know about the policy, has made arrangements to move his material elsewhere, and is ready to have the page deleted. I've requested that he say so himself directly in this discussion, but wanted to let people know. Dpbsmith (talk) 19:59, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Hey there, sorry to cause this trouble. I was not fully aware of the policy regarding user space, and acknowledge that the material has no business being there. I've moved it onto a personal wiki I set up myself, so by all means, delete. Sorry about this, and I hope it doesn't need to cost anyone any more time. Yitzhak 20:13, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Comment In light of the above, is there any objection to deleting the page before expiration of VfD? Dpbsmith (talk) 02:06, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Comment Dear RickK, please attempt to fix user space issues with the user before listing them on Vfd. Thank you. The Steve 03:02, Nov 15, 2004 (UTC)

Comment Having seen no objections, and since Yitzhak understands the situation, and says he is prepared for and requests that the page be deleted, I am going to delete the page. I will restore it on request by anyone who thinks it needs further discussion here. Sorry about this page, you can go ahead and delete it. I hadn't fully read through the guidelines on user pages, for which I apologize. The data is now somewhere else, so this page is no longer necessary. Apologies again, Yitzhak 19:12, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
The former contents of the page at the time it was listed on VfD was a Maclab Scheduling changes chart with a week's schedule and directions for editing it, on which various anons were making entries such as:
Wednesday
12:30-1:30 -Theresia (was Julianna's but she couldn't make it so I took over)
4:30 - 7:00pm - Phillip (will trade for Tues shift after meeting)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
