Colors[edit]

I noticed that Avala changed colors and uploaded new version to Image:SR_Serbia_coa2.png. Because the original picture is meant to be part of Coats of arms of the Yugoslav Socialist Republics I will change the color of wheat back to yellow to be more consistent with other emblems. I'll leave coa2 as it it. For the blue background and cog I'm not sure - author painted them gray, but [1] has the blue one. Is the blue version the official one, ie. was it mentioned in the constitution of the Socialist Republic of Serbia? --Romanm 12:18, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I checked the encyclopedia and changed colours according to it.

OK. Just out of curiosity - which encyclopedia might that be? --Romanm 23:38, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)

PROSVETA Yugoslav encyclopedia. Could you please provide any source for your colour set? You can call any ministry in Serbia so they can send you an official paper with the coat of arms so you could check it. Avala| 18:33, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Here is the link for info table image in front of Serbian Skupstina - [2] where you can easily check the colors. If this did not convince you I don`t know what will? Avala| 18:33, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Yes, I see that my friends' colors scheme was slightly wrong. Maybe the error was created during the conversion from CDR to PNG. My copy of Opca enciklopedija Jugoslovenskog leksikografskog zavoda has blue background also on Macedonian CoA, but both are much lighter and less saturated. I'll show him your version and ask him for small color adjustments to gain best results and consistency (he's a graphical designer). --Romanm 05:36, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I am not really into Macedonian coat of arms, but about Serbian I can say that the colors are normal now. It is because I used scanned coat of arms picked the color and filled your friends version. So all he needs to do is to make borders between blue and yellow more beautiful, but he doesn`t need to touch the colours. --Avala| 10:11, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
