Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RAHOWA (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sole content of the page is "Insane "White Power" band, whose goal is to ruin society with hatred and lies." While this may be accurate as far as it goes, it is sub-stub and not notable. Smerdis of Tlön 15:02, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Speedy Delete. --Golbez 16:13, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC) Damn you people for improving it. Funky lyrics; "darn right?" :P Abstain --Golbez 18:56, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete not because they're an insane white power band but because their article consists only of that. And non-notable, etc. Timbo 16:49, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
    • And if it does get deleted, someone should delete the mention of them in Racial Holy War. Timbo 16:52, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Non-notable, existing article is POV substub. Gwalla | Talk 17:04, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Painful as it is, I believe that these guys are notable. Vile, but notable. They are, as far as I can tell, the 'poster band' for white supremacists. They seem to be the main act for Resistance Records. Writing an article about them does not imply we support them. I'll turn the substub into a stub. Keep. DJ Clayworth 17:17, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep in its newer form. They're out there and they're notable all right, and anyone with any intelligence can figure out how vile they are from the NPOV article. Livajo 18:14, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
    • Yes, keep in its newer form. Any band that can put the lyric "Goodness gracious, darn right" in a song praising genocide probably is notable. Smerdis of Tlön 18:36, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • If perhaps someone doesn't buy their disgusting, savage records as a result of this article, it will all be worth it. Keep. Fire Star 20:37, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Changing my vote to keep. The new article clarifies things considerably. Gwalla | Talk 21:33, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, and you guys are quite comical in your misunderstanding of the white power music scene. The reason why white power record sales are skyrocketing is because fans enjoy offending you, and those like you. Nobody is accidentilly buying or downloading these records thinking their not offensive. There is 0 confusion on the part of anybody "in the know" about the sorts of things these bands are saying. Its kinda like how a 12 yr old used to buy eminem to annoy moms and dads and PC folks on MTV. Rahowa simply kicks it up a few notches. Sam [Spade] 22:07, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
You are giving the people who listen to neo-Nazi crap too much credit, Sam. Pushing that philosophy indicates a deeper level of disturbance than just wanting to annoy, IMO, although I'll agree that Eminem is a fellow traveller! Cheers, Fire Star 01:18, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep in the new form. Andris 06:27, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, as a worthy example of what lurks behind the toilet. This article can, as rewritten, lead one to the "correct" point of view. Denni 22:56, 2004 Aug 26 (UTC)
  • Here's one for my baby book. I'm voting to delete a non-encyclopedic article I agree with, namely the "Fahernheit 9/11" rant, and I'm agreeing to keep this NPOV article in its current form about as patently offensive a "band" that ever set foot on a concert stage. My medication needs adjusting!  :^P The perpetually confused Lucky 6.9 00:35, 27 Aug 2004 (UTC)
