That's fine, however please note that Wikipedia isn't the place to show your new theory. We collect the established knowledge only, but are not the place for creating new ones, nor are a place for publication of new ideas. Dear all, I hoped to see some discussions of the celebration of the einsteinyear 2005(100 years of celebration for Einsteins special theory of relativity1905(June?).

I've added alot to the story behind the importance of 2005, as a physics year. If anyone has other events they would like to put up, I think it would make this page alot less biased towards the University of Maryland.

Misleading

This page is a bit misleading - it claims that the reason for 2005 is solely Special Relativity - however, Einstein also made other breakthoughs in 1905, which were the explanation of the photoelectric effect and brownian motion.

Very misleading, but it now properly mentions the three papers. Apparently the author of that paragraph was also under the impression that everything Einstein did was about relativity, so I've corrected the relativity -> uncertainty principle bit and fixed some incorrect wordings. The three papers gave a very big news in three different subjects of Physics. The Relativity (the special one) changes the Mechanichs (as weel as epistemological and philosophical concepts, and of course it has many implication on the whole Physics), the one brownian motion was very important about atomic theory (that despite what is common belived it was not really commonly accepted in 1905), and the one about photoelectric effect was an important step in esplanation of electromagneticism, and with the Planck tournaround of the chaninging of the century led to Quantum mechanics. Annus Mirabilis

Is Miracle year a correct translation into English of Annus Mirabilis? AnyFile 16:47, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
