Untitled[edit]

Hard to believe there's nothing about jazz or R&B in this article, as Philadelphia is much more known for those than for punk rock. Nothing about Nina Simone or John Coltrane? Nothing about Philly Soul?

Lots more to Pennsylvania music than this brief article. No mention of Fred Warring and his "Young Pennsylvanians." He was from Tyrone. No mention of Dan Hartmen, "I Can Dream About You," from Harrisburg. And how did you miss Joe Pass (Johnstown) and George Benson (Pittsburgh)? PA music history can and should fill a museum somewhere! 71.55.126.11 (talk) 17:59, 21 January 2013 (UTC)catchkevin@aol.com71.55.126.11 (talk) 17:59, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DATE CHANGE[edit]

Under "Rock and Pop Music", I didn't think it was best for everything after 1980 to be kept together. So I split it into two groups. The 80's and 90's, and then 2000 to present.

I did the best I could make sure the bands were moved to the appropriate new category. Some of the bands may have 'formed' in one era, but I tried to list them by their major release dates. Otherwise, every Joe with a garage band would think they should be listed here as well. I figured if we listed them by their major breakthrough to the mainstream, then garage bands would take the hint and not vandalize the place.

I would also like to see some sort of organization done. Maybe alphabetical. What do you think? Perhaps I will do it on another day. I just couldn't do it after all of the other work I just did. Changing and rearranging. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:983:8001:5B1E:8BB:D2CD:4798:104 (talk) 18:01, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
