Can anybody explain to me why there are separate disambiguous pages for formalism on the one hand and formalist on the other? Can't we just do whatever disambiguating needs to be done at one or the other place and redirect the other one?--Christofurio 00:04, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)


Whoever listed Godard's Breathless, Bergman's 7th Seal, and *Moulin Rouge* as examples of formalism must be batty. Godard's films are perfect examples of neo-realism, which would be the exact OPPOSITE of formalism. And *Moulin Rouge* is a good example of nothing but bad filmmaking. But quite apart from my personal opinions about it, that film is simply not a very good example of formalism at all. Danny Pi 23:30, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
