Serialization of non-null terminated strings[edit]

I found something interesting experimentally. The default C# serializer apparently encodes nulls as "&x0;". Is this an official/unofficial extension of XML that is documented somewhere? I haven't been able to find many sources actually endorsing encoding nulls as "&x0;" Slaymaker1907 (talk) 22:53, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Plan for Edits[edit]

Hello everyone,

I am planning to make some edits to the history and XML data binding sections of the XML Wikipedia page to improve the accuracy and readability of the content. Before I begin editing, I wanted to share my plan for these edits so that the community can provide feedback and suggestions.

In the history section, I plan to provide more context on the development of XML and the challenges faced by the working group during this process. Specifically, I will add more detail on the role of the Interest Group in supporting the working group, the major design decisions made during the development of XML, and the impact of XML since its release.

In the XML data binding section, I plan to clarify the benefits of this approach for simplifying code development, and the types of applications for which it is most suitable. I will also provide examples of how XML data binding can improve code quality and make it easier to work with XML data in modern development environments.

Overall, my goal is to improve the accuracy and readability of the XML Wikipedia page, while providing useful information for developers and users of XML. I welcome any feedback or suggestions on these proposed edits, and I look forward to working with the community to improve this important resource. Dayibahmed (talk) 04:41, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
