right, so the first thing people want to know is that Direct was a 1988 album by the Greek synthesizer artist Vangelis... this page is kind of ridiculous.

This is historical. The album was simply the first article with that meaning to be added. If you feel this is inappropriate, please rearrange the list accordingly instead of moaning about it. JFW | T@lk 08:29, 4 Jul 2004 (UTC)
but it's historical as you said, so i guess it's approriate right? you gave me contradictory motivations. all right, appropriate but ridiculous--nobody has to moan.
As I said: the first article with the name "Direct" happened to be the Vangelis album. Afterwards someone decided that there are multiple words with that meaning, and added them to this list, a typical Disambiguation page.
In your wisdom, you thought that other meanings may be of higher priorities than the Vangelis album. If you think so, you can change the page by clicking "Edit this page", like you've done with this talk page, and arrange the topics as you see fit.
These are not contradictory motivations at all. JFW | T@lk 18:55, 4 Jul 2004 (UTC)
