Untitled[edit]

Was the 1995 album called The Unseen (or Self-Titled as it currently reads), 18 Songs or 19 Songs? The hidden link is to 18 Songs but that redirects to 19 Songs. I can't find the right info anywhere (mostly, no doubt, because I don't know where to look!) -- sannse 08:06 Mar 30, 2003 (UTC)

Even the site which claims to be their official site (http://unseen.thegeek.net/records.html) doesn't list it. I think this is another case of Michael's imagination. -- Zoe

Ugg, the list on that site has a lot of differences to the list we have here. This is impossible! I don't feel I have the knowledge to help sort out Michaels edits. It's kind of funny how they are called The Unseen but yet thanks now to FUSE (tv sucks) they are a huge band and all the preppy people listen to them b/c everyone else does. TearAwayTheFunerealDress 15:32, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

So yea, they are getting radio play now. Woopdeedoo. Has their sound really changed? Have they watered down the music? Don't think so. Where is the problem then? Way I figure it, it just means they are getting their message across to a wider audience. Btw, is this band straight edge? Anarcho-Punk?? Anarchist Hardcore Punk?[edit]

Though some of the early songs that paul and scott wrote may have had some of those references, they arent anywhere close to an anarcho punk band, or an anarchist punk band. Unless there is any substantial lyrics or statements that i dont know about, im gonna just change that to punk band, or hardcore punk band, or even streetpunk band....thoughts...??? x_C.H. 00:03, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, claiming them as a pop-punk band?? no way in hades are they a pop-punk band. doesnt fit much of the criterea

Not for nothing[edit]

The Unseen formed in a high end suburb about 50 miles from boston. I knew them back then, and they never had any respect in the boston punk scene because they were a bunch of phonies (sing about having an abusive family, when their father built them a recording studio to record a 7 inch). I found this interesting[edit]

So if you look back at the past albums with paul as a member starting with "So This is Freedom" they had a logo that said "UNSEEN" in Times New Roman font with an effect of it supposedly looking like the word was either stretched at both ends or flattened down the middle through the bottom and top, with a small cobweb dangling at the lower left side of the 'U' and above the logo in the center is the word "THE" also in Times New Roman font with another cobweb starting at the 'E' in 'THE' and flaring out to the last three letters of 'UNSEEN', well I noticed that the early versions of the 1982 horror film "The Unseen" Had the same logo (heres a link to the picture of it: http://members.lycos.co.uk/diddle69/unseen.JPG ) obviously they stole that from the movie and used it in their logo.... It was not until Paul Russo had left the band that they stopped using the logo and changed to a different one, I am wondering if this was some sort of copyright issue that made them change it or just the representation of a new sound (minus paul) If anybody knows anything about this I I would love to hear what the story behind all of this is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.158.3 (talk) 23:54, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable?[edit]

I do not have any connection with this band, I just happen to like their music. So they're notable for me, by golly! ;^)

I thought it might help to start a thread discussing whether they meet Notability:music or not.

Potential Positives[edit]

Possible Reasons for Lack of Press Coverage[edit]

Admittedly, they do not garner a lot of press. I suspect that's partly due to the fact that they haven't released a new album since 2007, and their lead singer is involved in a new band called Asher. Also, the group does not seem interested in publicizing themselves, e.g., they do not have a website or YouTube channel.
