Pictures[edit]

Ohhh, I get it, she draws herself as a cow-like figure because she worked at a dairy farm! Ahhh.

Is she the girl in the black suit? Is anyone going to magnify the image and put it in the website? Although doesn't Miss Hiromu Arakawa want to have her privacy, thats why hasn't had her picture taken very much? Maybe its best to leave the cow image on the page after all.

  • The Shogakukan Manga Awards pic is available at mobuta.com/arakawa , but you may be right about not using a real photo. Arakawa-sensei is known to be camera shy, so it might be better just to leave it as is.

This should be changed. Also, someone should mention about her work with disable individuals before she became a mangaka, which had inspired Fullmetal Alchemist. --itakoaya

I must know more![edit]

I'm pretty much obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist (it comes right after Metroid and Star Wars on my obsession list). As one could immagine, I'd like to know more information about its creator. Controversies?[edit]

I'm not the most up to date person in the world, but there has been a lot of gossip about Hiromu Arakawa being a man who is transsexual. Cow[edit]

Her self-portrait is as perfectly appropriate & acceptable as Vincent van Gogh.

I don't have one. In fact I've had some problems with uploading. I don't fully understand the feature of uploading. It seems like she was taking a light hearted tone when she drew the self portrait. It just looks silly to have it up there. And I think wikipedia doesn't need this kind of editing...people already think its silly that anyone can edit articles on here. Picture[edit]

That's a photograph of Romi Paku, who voiced Edward Elric in both FMA series. It's been disseminated online as a photo of Arakawa by non-Japanese-fluent fans who saw it in an article about FMA (which included a profile of Arakawa) and made unwarranted assumptions.
