Hello Pablo, welcome to the English Wikipedia. Here's some tips:

  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.

Other useful pages are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 01:08, Feb 4, 2004 (UTC) ---

Your suggestion of putting older flags on the Flag of... Pages is excellent. The only problem would be finding these flags from sources that would allow their reuse, but I do like your idea, and will work on it once all the current flags are completed. Thank you, and welcome to wikipedia.

One More Question[edit]

Hello! Thank you for you quick translation of the graph captions. I have one more question which you might be able to answer. In the Wallonia article, the Walloon national motto is described as being "Walon todi!". What does this mean? (I'm guessing "Wallonia today!", but I could be entirely wrong.) -- Itai 15:59, 21 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Walloon translation[edit]

For clarity's sake, I took the liberty of replying in User talk:Itai#Walloon translation. -- Itai 20:29, 23 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to revive this project. Are you interested in working on it? — J3ff 06:48, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Re: Isadora Duncan photo copyright[edit]

Hi. I'm not certain that the image is either in the public domain or retains copyright. It depends on whether the copyright was retained by Arnold Genthe or assigned to a corporation as part of publication, and whether copyright renewals were filed. However, if it is under copyright, I believe that its use in the Duncan article is fair use. BTW, the Sonny Bono act extended the term to life+70 years for works not already in the public domain by 1998 — but this one would have become public domain in 1992 if the copyright was kept by Genthe. --ChrisRuvolo 00:06, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Avañe'ẽ[edit]

Oh gracias!...

Buckwheat[edit]

I'm curious as to why you removed the interwiki links for Buckwheat (-da,eo,pl). -- Kbh3rd 13:24, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

nawatl speaker templates[edit]

I have created the missing templates. I would translate the phrase "this user does not understand Nawatl" as "Amo kimati in nawatl inin tlatitlanini" instead of kimati which means "knows" you could use "kahsikamati" which is used in some dialects to mean understand or "kiyekkaki" which also means understand but literally is "hear right" Magnuspharao 22:53, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:VTV 2006.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VTV 2006.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 10:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
