Untitled[edit]

Hey, I respect the rule against "edit-wars" as much as anyone, but someone posted, in the COMMENTS on the episode "Coven of Darkness", the following:

"The episode ends on a rather questionable note for Micki's future as one of the stories heroes, but the change of sides is never sought out."

What in the world does this even MEAN??? I am, as you may be able to tell, something of an authority on this show, and I have never heard of any plan to drop Micki from the cast. What is meant by "the change of sides is never sought out" maybe the writer can explain (maybe not).

Sorry, but I'm cutting it. Not an edit-war but an edit-janitorial-service.

Some of the entries in the antiques list are plot summaries, not entires for the actual cursed items. I can't fix this since I've never seen the show but hopefully someone else can. --Ryuukuro 17:27, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It mentions that the final cursed object was suppoused to be Jason's mask. But were there any plans for any kind of appearance from him?

No, and there was never any actual plans for Jason's mask to be the final item. There were plans to have a cursed item being a hockey goalie's mask (or possibly just as a prop in the background), but as an easter egg and joke, not as any attempt to connect the series with the movies, and the mask was not going to be the same one belonging to Jason Voerhees. Thank you to whomever cleaned up those horrendous episode contributions. I mean, a cursed jump rope that makes one obese? I must have missed that episode. And a cursed video game cartridge from the 1973s? Not really an antique no matter which year it's from.

I've been working diligently to clean this up myself. I anticipate a few more minor tweaks to season 3 in the next few days after viewing the episodes again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord antares (talk • contribs)

I'm also cleaning up the article, and adding the curses. Hey, could I not say Mickey and Ryan were offered a way to recover cursed objects at NO risk in And Now the News.

If there was actually a cursed item that was a jump rope that makes one obese, it wouldn't even be close to the most ridiculous item on the show, but no, there was never any such item. A video game cartridge from 1973 would be an antique by video game standards I suppose but antique stores rarely carry such items (and the one in the show did not appear to be the exception). Most antique stores I know of don't even classify something as an antique until it's at least 50 years old or so. The newest item I ever remember seeing on the show was a car radio from the 1950's, which would be pushing it to call it antique during the show's run, but that's about as far as they pushed it. 2001:558:6040:82:7CD6:B941:F0A2:C349 (talk) 07:28, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

¶ Footnote 2 cites a page number for a David Grove, no clue as to the title or publication data. I would like to point out that, altho it was filmed and produced in Canada, the series made a tremendous effort to look "American" (i.e., USA rather than Canadian), for example, a prison is titled a "State Prison", police uniforms resemble those used in the US, and once or twice the US flag appears - but never, I think, is there any direct mention of anything specifically Canadian. I'm removing this passage here, as it is completely unsourced, requires copyediting, and stinks of original research:

The 2009 SyFy original series Warehouse 13, takes many aspects from this series. Such similarities are having two agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), lead by a older man Arthur "Artie" Nielsen (Saul Rubinek). The team travels around collecting curse artifacts. While there hasn't been any mention connetion between the two the two share multiple similarities.

Unless you can produce reliable third party references to support any of this, you cannot put it in the article. It can't be very difficult to kick up some sources on that. All one has to do is enter "Friday the 13th" and "Warehouse 13" into a google search and surely at least one link from the first page can be suitable enough. It seems pretty much anyone who is aware of both shows can spot the similarities from the just glancing at a plot summary. I know I did. I'm sure many people have noted the similarities to the point it should be easy to find a citeable source on the matter. Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Character Bio[edit]

I have added a subsection to the "Character Bios" section, on Uncle Lewis Vendredi. As the principal villain of the series, he certainly merits his own entry in the "Character Bios" section; also, he appears in more episodes and is mentioned more frequently than Rashid, who has his own entry.
