Staples High School[edit]

Nothing on the page suggests this school is notable. Edward 01:01, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Agree with above, not notable. --Randy 01:28, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep it. —[[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 01:45, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete not because it's a school article, but because Wikipedia isn't the Yellow Pages. This is totally unencyclopedic. - Lucky 6.9 03:06, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete - schools aren't inherently notable. [[User:Premeditated Chaos|PMC]] 04:24, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: As above, this fills out some facts, but it contains no discussion. It's a record in a database rather than an attempt at an article. Furthermore, very few school articles are properly named. Naming them properly in fact demonstrates one of the reasons I dislike the articles. This would be Staples High School, [Town], [State] to be accurate. This is especially true with the various Lincolns, Kennedys, and Washingtons, as well as all the Riversides, Parks, and Parkviews. • Delete unless improved. Cool Hand Luke 06:17, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Merge into Westport, Connecticut (it already has externals links to this school) and delete - Skysmith 09:21, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. School. anthony 警告 01:44, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Article doesn't show why it's notable, but I believe it is. Not my sort of thing to do research on, but I believe its multi-building campus is very unusual for a public high school in the U.S. Northeast, and I also believe it has a very strong academic reputation. Someone may want to follow up; on the other hand, what little is here now would be no great loss. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:08, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Notable. --ShaunMacPherson 08:05, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. "Wikipedia articles are not a Yellow Pages." Counts as a vanity page in my book as well. Chaz 22:14, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep: It's easy for those who do not attend or work at this school to say that it's "not notable". Do you think that students or workers at this school think it's notable? Brianjd 08:23, 2004 Dec 2 (UTC)
    • The school I attended was just like any other, I wrote a bit about it in the article about my village, it doesn't need an article to itself. Edward 09:14, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - notability is still not a listed criterion - David Gerard 10:14, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
