Maybe the officers could be listed with their colleges (and factions even ^_^)? Also do we need everyone or just the sabbs like on UCL Union and KCLSU?

--Coffeelover 22:17, 2 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

All Executive level officers really should be listed - the sabb/non-sabb divide in most unions is mainly a question of who has the greater time committments and it's probably easiest to show all rather than try to let each page set its own rule. Timrollpickering 22:24, 2 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

History: 2013 Announcement to close ULU[edit]

Currently this says: On 3 May 2013, the University of London announced that the union would cease to exist, in its current form, from summer 2014.[4] This move was widely condemned by students and campaign groups, who are now running a campaign to keep the building in student hands

I believe this is too biased, and in fact the "reference" is an op-ed by Michael Cessum, the president of ULU. My experience was that some students condemned it, some students were in favor and most students were indifferent. Student politics! I have therefore changed the section to be at least more neutral. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilippBoeing (talkcontribs) 17:13, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Students' Union / Association sabs list deletion[edit]

  • I've started a discussion on Chriscf's Talk Page as this involve all the union's page. Please go there to provide your opinion if you're interested. -- KTC 16:04, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • I will be removing the above discussion from my talk page. User talk pages are for personal communication. They are not for conducting general content debates. Feel free to start a discussion in the Wikipedia namespace, but this is not an appropriate discussion for user pages. Chris talk back 16:01, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • Discussion was needed because of your unilateral deletion on multiple pages. So in a sense, your talk page does fit for purpose. Anyhow, it's now at Talk:Students Union -- KTC 03:45, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Foundation date[edit]

I've removed the note that it was founded/formed in 1955 from the article - the University of London Union Magazine was being published as early as 1931. There was a "University of London Union Society" formed in 1921, but this seems to have been a debating society and it's not clear if it was the same group. Further research needed... And found - ULU does seem to have evolved from the 1921 organisation. Permanent site in 1957, so if there was some form of reorganisation before that it might explain the date. Andrew Gray (talk) 23:04, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
