Scoreboard[edit]

The entry about the scoreboard at Copps Coliseum is incorrect, Since the Winnipeg Arena used their Day Industries scoreboard until the end of the 1980 season. It was the American Sign and Indicator clock that was transported from Winnipeg to Hamilton in about 1987. I cannot verify this for sure, but I do have personal memories of seeing the AS and I clock at Copps in 1988 and thinking "That was the Jets old clock". Also my first Jets game was January 27, 1980 and I saw the Day clock at Winnipeg Arena. Shaniamoose (talk) 10:29, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Shaniamoose (talk) 10:40, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Picture[edit]

The picture in the infobox as of today is technically outdated. We cannot replace it until the new signage is in place, but I happened to see something over my Twitter of workers taking down the giant C today. Once the new signage is in place, a new photo should be taken. CycloneGU (talk) 15:36, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

Ideally, there should be two entries here, one for Copps Coliseum of old, and another for the newly renovated and named FirstOntario Centre. Melding the two and their respective histories is confusing and leads to incorrect statements. If they remain together, editors should be sure to not attribute facts to the 'wrong' building. IE: "While FirstOntario Centre was built in the hope that Hamilton could draw an NHL franchise, for the past 15 seasons, beginning in October 1996, FirstOntario Centre has been home to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League..." The above statement is misleading. FirstOntario Center WAS NOT built to accommodate an NHL franchise, nor was the home of the Hamilton Bulldogs since 1996. Those facts happened to the Copps Coliseum. OF NOTE: It was not even called FirstOntario Centre until 2014. Get the facts (and timelines) right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Barcharlie (talkcontribs) 17:24, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
