deletion[edit]

I have submitted this article for delettion. I believe this article should be deleted, because the first few sentences (and therefore the first half) contain the same information as the J.K. Rowling article. As Mr. Arante's claim to fame is being the ex-husband of J. K. Rowling, he is unlikely to gain further noteworthiness. I propose that information about Mr. Arantes may be contained within the Rowling article, and that this article is unneeded. It is true all along.EvilPhoenix 19:37, May 12, 2005 (UTC)

Can anyone tell me why there would ever be a need for an article called Harry Potter author? - Tεxτurε 16:53, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Sorry I meant to put Harry Potter author.

Disagree regarding deletion of Jorge Arantes:Since the "life-line" of Mr. Arantes and Ms. Rowling overlapped for only a brief period of time, it is not logical that Ms Rowling article would include significant information about Mr. Arantes. Interest in Ex-spouses of famous/wealthy people is common. Consider recent article about Wissam Al Mana (ex husband of Janet Jackson) or the Kardashians rise to fame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.0.32.168 (talk) 08:33, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting this article is a form of censoring, or at best, the curtailing of free access to information because certain individuals deem it to be unnecessary or perhaps secretly fear it for their own nefarious reasons. The more articles on Wiki, the better its reach and the more valuable an instrument it becomes. <!-
