Record producer[edit]

The information about David Frost is now correct. Previously there was information about Sir David Frost, the British television personality, who isn't the same David Frost who won the Grammy in 2000 for "Listen to the Storyteller" and in 2005 for Classical Producer of the Year.

In response to the above year-old comment, I agree that is quite absurd that this photo should be used to illustrate the subject of the article when you can't even see his face. Nixon[edit]

The 1977 Richard Nixon interviews dramatized in the play Frost/Nixon were not part of his regular scheduled program on American televison (which was produced by Group W - Westinghouse - and ran from 1969-72) as the article seems to indicate, but were a set of one-time specials syndicated to individual stations. 74.72.221.197 15:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

David Frost (broadcaster) → David Frost — The broadcaster is the obvious primary topic here, he is one of the most well-known people in the UK and is famous in the US and other countries, so this page should be at David Frost. This article has over 100 incoming links (plus 70 articles that currently link to the disambigation page but are meant for the broadcaster). David Frost in the US[edit]

What is the basis of David Frost exposure/popularity in the US in the 1960's? Presumably the famous UK BBC TW3 series were not seen by the US audience then. How famous/successful was the 1964-65 US version of the show? Exactly what was the role of David Frost in this version? Is this the basis of his exposure/popularity in the US? Benazir Bhutto[edit]

I removed the paragraph on the Benazir Bhutto interview from the 'Criticism' section. Bhutto mentions 'Omar Sheikh' and says he 'murdered Osama bin Laden'. She apparently meant Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, and she meant to say he 'murdered Daniel Pearl'. She simply made a mistake. No conspiracy here. Chrisahn (talk) 20:45, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Knighthood[edit]

I am adding a reference to Sir David Frost being knighted. For accuracy shouldn't this page be headed Sir David Frost and the redirect be on the David Frost page? Anyone any thoughts? Mvemkr (talk) 07:37, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Importance of Nixon interviews?[edit]

I know I'm just an innocent passerby, but might someone be able to tell me just how important the Frost/Nixon interviews were for David Frost and his career, and also whether or not they should take a place more prominent than just the tail end of a sentence ("...Frost On America featured guests such as Jack Benny, Tennessee Williams and, in 1977, Richard Nixon in a series of interviews for American television")? That Was the Week That Was[edit]

The statement that Frost "stole" the work of the various comics named may or may not be true, but surely it needs pretty rigorous sourcing? A "citation needed" insert doesn't really cut it, it seems to me. The text as it stands is a direct, unqualified accusation of plagiarism. Frost interview of Jane Fonda[edit]

I would like to know why no mention seems to ever be made of this interview. Fonda was dressed in Viet Cong garb with a Viet Cong pin on her lapel and her hair cut in the severe bob that all Viet Cong women were wearing. I believe it was even dyed a darker shade. David Frost brilliantly drew her out and asked probing questions, all of which she answered in the severest terms. audience participation had her telling the mother of an American soldier that her son was a war criminal and should be shot. We watched this show in horror. It is the show that convinced me that she was anti-American, not her silly photo op on a tank. The Slipper and the Rose[edit]

I removed a reference to this film intending to merge it with the now added mention of The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer. Frost's involvement with the film industry was quite minor, and two mentions about this area might seem excessive and look randomly incorporated into the text.

I have had second thoughts though. While neither film is particularly well regarded, at least Rimmer is partly intended as a parody of Frost, and thus has a second reason for justifying its inclusion. As we cannot include absolutely everything, this is an article not a biography, is it worthwhile to mention an apparently poor film about Cinderella, in which Frost was involved at a distance as its financier and executive producer? Muhammad Ali and other boxing[edit]

David Frost was the main interviewer at the muhammed ali v Foreman match in 1974, andthe footage of which was quoted in his later in life interview with ali. Elvis Presley 1980 documentary[edit]

Re this edit: There is very little sourcing about this and it is apparently Elvis - He Touched Their Lives from 1980.[2] It is not one of Frost's notable TV works, and was not mentioned in any of his obituaries.
