My dates on the Town Car trim options and the appearance of the name as a full-fledged model are from the American Car Spotter's Guide, sometimes helped out by the discussions on lincolntowncar.org. I have a pretty high degree of confidence in them because I have seen all the cars except one--I have never been able to find even a picture of the '69 with TC option.
