I opened this account when I had the disconcerting experience of finding an entry about myself in the Wikipedia. I edited the entry (as lightly as I could, since I know way too much about the subject).... I have long been a user and an admirer of this landmark participatory reference work. I am resisting writing more entries...with difficulty and who knows for how long.
