Hey, thanks for cleaning up the Leftovers page. That's been needing doing for ages. :) Ambi 22:13, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)

i am new so i don't know the conventions for talk pages, if i reply here should i expect you to notice? i guess we'll see, i replied on your page also. so this is a test :) rhyax 22:21, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
It's usually best to reply on other people's talk pages, so they're alerted. If you reply here, they might catch it, but might not. :)
By the way, my Useful Stuff page is in turn stolen from User:Angela. ;) Ambi 22:23, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Cytogenetics[edit]

Warmly applaud expansion and factualisation of cytogenetics. Do you have any major plans? There are pages on Philadelphia chromosome (I wrote it...) but there is a lot of stuff to be done on chromosomal translocation and related issues. And I'm just a curious clinician with no experience in cytogenetics... JFW | T@lk 21:06, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Comptroller[edit]

Hi, I removed the {{delete}} tag on Comptroller. I'm monitoring the newbie who created it. -- PFHLai 05:51, 2004 Sep 7 (UTC)

Looks like some other admins have taken care of Guitar.com Miscellaneous Forum. Thanks for the alert. -- PFHLai 05:58, 2004 Sep 7 (UTC)

Hi Rhyax, thanks for fixing up my pages (Martin Walkyier etc). I am a newbie but like to add what little I know to the world!!

Was surprised to see a comment on Lipscomb so promptly! It's been 30 years since I went there, just for one summer. But my recollection is that it was one Bible class per semester. I remember going twice a week. Now chapel WAS a daily requirement--could that be what you remember? RivGuySC 04:58, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)

  • You could be right about the number of hours being the determining factor. I think I only took two classes besides the Bible one. RivGuySC 14:21, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)

St Brice[edit]

You asked: Should this be a redirect instead? to Ethelred II of England. rhyax 07:49, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)

My answer is that no it shouldn't be a redirect, because the two subjects don't actually have anything to do with each other. It is only indirectly that Ethelred was mentioned in the article, because he murder someone on St Brice's Day; that doesn't provide a direct link between Ethelred and St Brice himself. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 13:43, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Dominance relationship[edit]

I noticed your suggestion to move Dominant gene to Dominant trait... there was a fairly good article at Dominance relationship that I've just expanded, and it now includes a lot of what might otherwise go into the two former articles. I've tried to de-jargonify, but I'm no biologist -- I'd appreciate if you could take a look! Wordie 15:09, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Psychology of Torture[edit]

I saw your request for structuring of this article in pages needing attention. As a psychiatrist who has had a little bit of contact with this subject I find the article excellent. It appears to have been written by people who are world experts in this field or at least very intimtate with the subject. Samvak entered the bulk of the orifinal text. It does appear to have some relatively unexplained Freudian jargon. This is a very circumscribed field with world experts in the area numbering in the tens not thousands. Finding someone else familiar with the subject will be hard. What is it in particular that you would like restructured or that you find lacking in the article? I note that you did a substantial bit of work with headings. --CloudSurfer 04:55, 30 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Situation of administrator abuse[edit]

Hi, I'm in a potentially awkward position with an Administrator. I have read the Wiki pages on dispute resolution but I'm still not sure how to proceed.

The Admin ContiE has a personal grudge against me for reasons I do not fully understand. He has been this way since I began frequenting wikipedia.

I have done work improving the furvert article. He has basically gone on a crusade against any edit I make. He controls every furry category article and several others ruthlessly. He is an iron fist and bans anyone he edit wars with. I had uploaded pictures and he deleted them with no talking. He seems to believe I am every person he has had an edit war against. He is always using personal attacks, calling me troll without reason. I uploaded them again and he voted them for deleted, but to his surprise the person who runs the images, thank you Nv8200p, found they were acceptable once I tagged them properly. Just recently he removed both the images without himself discussing it in the talk page (unless he was the same person who discussed only one) with the edit here [1] Then ContiE assumed bad faith, added his constant insult of troll in the talk page. It appears on a completed different wiki, a comedy one in all things, somebody else stole my username and I believe this was Conti himself and uploaded them. ContiE showed it as his reason. While vandalism like his, I would revert and mention it, he would ban me permanently if I undid his edit. That is why I am asking admins for help. He holds a couple of accounts on wikipedia and I think they are administrators so I have to be careful who I tell about this. Arights 06:31, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
