This is a poor stub, but Peter Westbrook seems to be a real person and multiple Olympian. That's enough to get you a Wikipedia entry IMO. --Robert Merkel 03:48, 15 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Hope this has expanded to a decent short article by now. Hard to believe it was listed on VFD.Sayeth 07:52, Sep 30, 2004 (UTC)

Any discussion of Peter Westbrook as a fencer should include some reference to Giorgio Santelli, who was an early mentor. TRIKER (talk) 21:15, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that's not correct: the big influence on Peter wasn't Giorgio (even though Salle Santelli was walking distance from NYU - Peter trained elsewhere), but rather his long-time coach Csaba Elthes. Certainly, a reference and link to Csaba would be relevant. I can ask Peter for a quote :-) or I can just dig some text from his 'Harnessing Anger' book. Jsavit (talk) 04:05, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Giorgio was AN early mentor - not the only one. At the time fencing was a "white only" sport. Giorgio Santelli was the person who opened the sport to all interested people with his early invitation to Westbrook. TRIKER (talk) 14:36, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't looked at this for years, but is this one small and ancient item the reason this article is marked "The neutrality of this article is disputed"? It does not take away anything from Giorgio's achievements and his opening up fencing from being a "white only" sport to highlight Peter's relationship with Csaba. Giorgioo's contributions opening up fencing to all are described in his own article, where they best fit. Let's get rid of the NPOV dispute flag - it's really unnecessary.
