Cause of death[edit]

The information of his death is inaccurate. He did not die in an accident, rather from a heart attack. This is from his daughter.

People who knew Joe at Multics and at Bell Labs are available as sources for further information. Perhaps one of them could be enticed into collaborating on publishing a biography? Perhaps this has already happened. Where is it? The online material I've found in a brief search is contradictory, incomplete or ancient. Some of it relies entirely on the current Wikipedia article.
