Merge duplicated articles Suggestion[edit]

Goniatites should be merged into Goniatite as duplicate topic. Nmclough (talk) 22:35, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose They are taxonomic topics on two very different levels of the Taxonomy. Goniatite is for the entire cephalopod order, while Goniatites is solely on one single genus.--Kevmin § 19:21, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate For the layperson, they look like duplicate articles. Nmclough (talk) 19:34, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is no need to disambiguate, the opening sentences for each clearly identify the topics--Kevmin § 20:10, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • okay, point taken. Will remove in few days assuming nobody else chips in. Nmclough (talk) 21:26, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
