Lead Image?[edit]

A travesty[edit]

It is a travesty that Gilmour's lead image is of him in a Blackhawks sweater, I think there is a certain etiquette when it comes to these things, a player's lead image should always be of him in the sweater of the team he played the longest for, in this case, the Maple Leafs for 7 seasons vs 2 seasons with the Blackhawks. Could you imagine seeing Mats Sundin's lead image as a Canuck? a Leafs replacement image must be found at once as this crime against humanity can go on no further.

If a suitable Leafs image cannot be found perhaps an image of him in a Team Canada sweater during the Canada Cup? anything would be better than the current.

Untitled[edit]

Not enough mention of him winning the Stanley Cup with the Flames. Also, the babysitter incident is not mentioned, why?

the babysitter issue is probably a sicky subject to include, especially if we are going to attempt neutrality. However it was the reason of the "hastily" traded part of his bio. and honestly, i think the hastily needs to go or be explained. at this point in history i'd vote on the removal of the hastily and just go with the fact that he was traded. If my memory is correct, Gilmour was traded from Toronto to NJ in 1995, then he was traded to Chicago, Baffulo, Montreal, and Toronto. Could anyone can verify the sequence?

Not quite, Gilmour was traded from Toronto to New Jersey in 1997, then traded to Chi,Buf,Mont & Tor. Before his first stint with Toronto (1992-97) ,he played with St.Louis & Calgary. Mightberight/wrong 14:33, 27 October 2005

Somone should mention the huge outcry in toronto when doug gilmour was traded. Even comedy shows made fun of the Leafs move.

Toronto Maple Leafs Uniform Please?[edit]

Doug Gilmour was by far most known and loved as a Toronto Maple Leaf, one of the best. It boggles my mind as to why the image is of him in a Blackhawks jersey. I can't figure out how to change it so can someone please remedy this? 174.95.146.96 (talk) 01:10, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A Glass Breaking Moment[edit]

A great article on Gilmour, but I can't believe you omitted a moment when as a Montreal Canadian, he was sent into a penalty box and then in anger shattered the glass causing a game to be delayed.
