Dutch Orthodox Reformed Church[edit]

Nothing seen on this so far. Quoted in vaccination and religion as being 2% of the Netherlands' population. Comment there or elsewhere welcomed. Midgley 19:12, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Dutch Orthodox Reformed Church" is probably a description, not the official name of that church. The Christians that reject vaccination are a part of the nl:bevindelijk gereformeerden, which is however not an official Church. I think most of them are in the Gereformeerde Gemeenten (Reformed Communities(?)) and similar Churches. These are not a part of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands. Lutheran bishops?[edit]

What is the treatment of the order of bishops from the Lutheran tradition in the united Protestant Church in the Netherlands? – Kaihsu 16:57, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The PKN has a synodal structure, so no bishops. Most Lutheran churches in european non-lutheran majority countries do not have bishops. --Isolani 17:51, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Protestant Church in the Netherlands[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Protestant Church in the Netherlands's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

membership numbers[edit]

Unfortunately there appears to be some confusion about the membership numbers, to clarify, in the PKN statistische jaarbrieven (annual statistical overview) several totals are listed for membership. Some include the category OVERIG. These are not to be used, in this category members living abroad are for example included. PKN membership as per PKN church definitions is to be calculated as the addition of the two categories belijdende leden en doopleden. To illustrate Text (in Dutch) from the 2013 jaarbrief
In tabel 1 onderscheiden we drie groepen: belijdende leden, doopleden en overigen. De voorheen gebruikte term ‘overige leden’ voor de derde categorie zullen we niet meer gebruiken. Het betreft hen die wel zijn opgenomen in de ledenadministratie maar geen belijdenis hebben gedaan en niet zijn gedoopt. Volgens de kerkorde zijn zij daarom geen lid van de kerk.
