Untitled[edit]

I've removed this claim from the article, as it was unsourced:

There is a rumour that he had 'stolen' material from his contemporaries, like for example the majority of an entire play, which he apparently then passed off as his own.

Supposed spat with Jon Ronson[edit]

The journalist Jon Ronson has also criticised Marber in print, saying he disliked him as a person after a disagreement over their nanny.

Anyone who reads the article in question will see immediately that the tone is highly facetious and tongue-in-cheek and there is no way of knowing how much genuine animosity, if any, exists betwen the two figues — as if it mattered much anyway, since this is not Hello magazine. This is not encyclopaedic material. Please do not keep inserting it. Flapdragon 02:18, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rokeby School[edit]

Marber attended Rokeby School in Kingston-upon Thames but there appears to be no Wikpedia article about the school whose alumni include Richard Briers and Stuart and Mark Urban. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.74.209.141 (talk) 16:17, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Early Film[edit]

Sometime in the early Nineties, Marber wrote and presented a short comic documentary about Dr Martens boots. This was shown on Channel Four television. Nuttyskin (talk) 02:52, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • So he did. I googled and found a single reference to 10x10: With Bouncing Soles, on Richard Curson Smith's PDF CV https://www.unitedagents.co.uk/cv/10352/film_tv_theatre (it doesn't look like a PDF link, but is). The text says "The 1st season of BBC new directors scheme. A short comic film about Dr. Martens boots. Written with and starring Patrick Marber." Which means it's findable on BBC genome, but no mention there of Marber (however anyone can edit the page so I will do that) - it was broadcast at least twice, on Thur 6 July 1989 and Wed 6 Sep 1989. But... he's done lots of other things that haven't been mentioned on the page (eg Hey Rrradio!!! so not sure if this needs to go there. JoBrodie (talk) 13:02, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
