Kayan[edit]

I would really appreciate if you left Kayan (Burma) and related articles alone. As far as I know, titles not being English is not a valid reason for a move, especially not if the title you are moving it to is as offensive as "Long Neck Karen".Zainker (talk) 23:07, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Debate over the 'Tightlacing' article[edit]

Hello! There are clearly two opposing views on your latest addition to the Tightlacing article. I think that the most productive thing to do is to discuss this on the talk page, rather than just making a string of changes and reversions.

I warn you, I do disagree (as usual!); I've detailed my problems on the talk page. In the meantime, I think it would be good manners to refrain from making any changes to that part of the article while we discuss.

Please don't blank or alter existing votes in any way. This is considered vandalism and disruption of Wikipedia, and might get you blocked. You are free to state your opinion on the discussion, but don't remove or misrepresent the discussion itself. Thanks. JRM 21:31, 2004 Dec 10 (UTC)

Update: I see you've removed the VfD tag from the article. If it was your intent to withdraw your nomination, you may do so by stating this at the nomination page. In this case, you should still not remove the whole discussion. JRM 21:33, 2004 DecHåbet 22:58, 24 February 2007 (UTC) 10 (UTC)[reply]

Article Licensing[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

It would be nice if we could use a more simpler license, like in Denmark, but the servers will probably always reside in a single state in the U.S. (Florida), so we have to cope with that and deal with licensing in terms of U.S. copyright law. I'm only asking for permission to share Wikipedia's articles using both the GFDL and CC-by-sa license and nothing else. Ram-Man (comment) (talk)[[]] 14:32, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images[edit]

Hi. You uploaded Image:Corset1878taille46 300gram.gif but did not list any source and/or copyright information on the image description page. Please mark it either as GFDL or public domain. See Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags for more info. Please note that images without copyright information may be deleted in the future. Thanks. RedWolf 01:25, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

Original research and renaming of articles[edit]

Haabet, I see that you persist in writing original research in Wikipedia concerning Old Norse matters. It is Wikipedia policy to dicuss on talkpages before starting to rename articles. I suggest that you do not touch anything relating to Suiones and Swedes until you have discussed the matter on the Suiones talkpage and reached concensus. If you do not cease with writing you own theories and to wantonly rename articles, I will open a rfc on you.--Wiglaf 12:54, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I second Wiglaf on this. You will find out that edits that do not find some sort of consensus on the Talk page will just be removed anyway, so you will just be wasting your (and our) time. You are welcome to add information. But if you r sources are questioned by other editors, you are required to point to published references, in journals, monographies, or encyclopedic works, that fully support your claims. dab () 17:34, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Haabet, you are walking the thin line between confused edits, trolling and vandalism. If you continue to add nonsense to articles, you may be blocked from editing. dab () 10:06, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Guthrum move[edit]

Why did you move Guthrum to Guthrum the Old? Neither Wikipedia, Encyclopaedia Britannica or Google can turn up any other Guthrums; furthermore, none of them can turn up anyone called "Guthrum the Old" except for the title you gave the article. The article would appear to have been better off where it was. I'll ask the same question on its talk page before going to Requested Moves to get it put back. Vandalism[edit]

Haabet, I have had to clean up your mess among Danish kings again. So far I have failed to see any good contributions from you. I know that you have vandalised on the Danish Wikipedia, and they have been forced to block you. Vandalism?[edit]

Hi there; I received your note. If you read the pages regarding the Flag of Denmark, no substantial evidence has been presented to support your notion that the flag is officially a darker red. I do not dispute that it is, but please provide a reference (namely from a government website) that the red is different and I will change it. Also, please be careful about referring to my editions, as valid as yours, as vandalism; I will continue to revert the flag until evidence is otherwise presented to the contrary. Otherwise, I will take this matter and your inappropriate 'name-calling' to other channels. E Pluribus Anthony 06:33, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

On this pages you can see as the flag is darker red. Flag of Denmark A legend say as the flag been colured by blod. But the truth is as the pure red was not available before 1880.Haabet 15:34, August 4, 2005 (UTC)

Where exactly are you referring? The colour referred to, though contentiously and not officially, is either PMS032 or 'blood red.' A visit to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, though, depicts a flag with the red in the image I created. If you can provide an authoritative reference (i.e., on a government website) otherwise, we can revise the image. E Pluribus Anthony 18:58, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Now! A dag somebody been serious angry because the colour is wrong. And he format your harddisc. The flag is a tradition, respect the tradition of a darker colour. 21:54, August 4, 2005 (UTC)~

Unfortunately, your appeal does not acknowledge the fact (or even my points) above nor does it make much sense: the colour is correct (as the government website indicates) and is a matter of perspective. Verify or substantiate your contention/perspective (which you have not done) and I will reconsider. Otherwise, I will continue to upload and update correct images with correct colours. E Pluribus Anthony 01:58, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

How dare you![edit]

You really have a lot of nerve daring to call me a vandal!

1) Just to set things straight! I drew the three flags on the Flag of Denmark page, so you don't own those images. If anyone does, I do! I still have my copy of the originals, before User:E Pluribus Anthony modified them.

2) User:E Pluribus Anthony has made a number of changes to these images, and I see his changes as improvements of my work. I have no problem with him. He studied a number of Danish flags, and drew his conclusions based on that, and on input from other Wikipedians. Unlike you.

3) I have restored five historic Danish flags with my own hands, and I've been interested in flags for more than 20 years, so I know what I'm talking about. Didn't you think, that I'd recognize you? da:Bruger:Haabet is the most blocked user in the history of the Danish Wikipedia. Image copyright problem with Image:Hanging Garden.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hanging Garden.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: TemplateName.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. mikka (t) 19:54, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: commons:Image:1822-boneless-frontlacing-shortstays-Costumes-Parisiens.jpg -- I have a BIGGER raw scan of this same image, but whether it's really in fact "better" is probably rather dubious (you get a better view of the half-screen dots, but I'm not sure whether there's really much additional significant detail). I could e-mail it to you if your e-mail is working (don't feel like uploading it). No, I don't have a front-view. You could look it up yourself in Millia Davenport's huge Costume Book (#2339). Stays[edit]

The phrase "pair of stays" could be used when referring to corsets that consisted of two main parts, but the OED 1st. ed. has thirteen quotations on the relevant meaning of "stays" from 1608-1842, only three of which include "pair". Churchh 22:37, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dictionary collect only various quotations. As you do not count the quotations.
Think 'a pair of stays' is a fixed phrase, not a technical: about two main parts. English have many fixed phrase, where danish have one word. It is to heavily, as write about stays. so forget that.
Håbet 08:06, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Haabet, I'm not too sure what you're trying to say, but one thing that I do know is that it's indisputably not true that "stays" was only used in the phrase "pair of stays" (as I documented above). Churchh 08:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1890s in fashion[edit]

Haabet, Image:PukModerneMilitarisme1894no46.jpg is a parody, not an ordinary fashion illustration, and belongs in a separate gallery (if anywhere), not jumbled in together with all the general illustrations. Churchh 08:51, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Hej Haabet.

Jeg aner intet om emnet, men det er noget i retning af det her:

"The corset continued to be fashionable 1908-24 and 1936-60, and enjoyed its greatest popularity in 1918. Its demise must be considered in the context of both the great bustles of 1886 to the miniskirts of 1918 ( eller måske "thigh-lenght dresses of 1918").

The corset formed the basis of fine clothing but the use of fabric decreased with society's economical growth, rendering the corset obsolete.

The final disappearence of the corset in the 1960s is due to the increased use of panty hoses which do not require the use of a suspender belt. Its decrease is not connected to neither the dress reform movement nor the feminist movement."

--Valentinian (talk) 07:28, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Haabet, I actually have rather little interest in corseting for itself, but am mainly concerned with it only insofar as it touches on several related subjects (such as clothing styles of the 1795-1820 period) which I am in fact very interested in. I know the general structure of Victorian women's clothing (and have several times seen though a 20th-century fetish fantasy story masquerading as a supposed "Victorian corseting diary" at 20 paces) -- but I've never done any specific scholarly researching on tightlacing as such, and have no particular plans to do so in the future. Churchh 01:37, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please leave the corset articles alone[edit]

Haabet, please do not edit the corset and tight-lacing articles. Please. You only make them worse. I understand that you've been banned from the German WP; if you persist in mangling articles here, we're going to have to see about getting you banned from the English WP as well. Haabet, if you could express your point of view in coherent English, and if it were notable (widespread), and if you had some sense of what makes a good graphic layout, your edits would be more kindly received. However, you write garbled English, you seem to the only person alive who is actively worried about the evils of corsets, and you keep inserting huge, irrelevant graphics. Your views are not notable and your English is grotesquely bad. Why do you insist on editing? Zora 05:43, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Acer_micranthum.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Acer_micranthum.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

The catapult is never find, because that was of wood. But the design had no sense without catapults. 2. In the Danish Wikipedia we vote about Holland/Nederland, and Holland win, but a Dutchman change Holland to Nederland. And I change that back to Holland and he rv. And chase me.

3. I only write on some pages. (I as have knowledge about). After that explanation I stop the discuss. If it is a problem as I only write on some pages, no meaning to continue. --Håbet 21:39, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Copyright status of Gurita[edit]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Gurita. For legal reasons, we will delete copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites (http://www.motherneeds.com/Gurita.htm in this case) or from printed material.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Gurita with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article's talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Gurita with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own original words to avoid any copyright infringement. Thank you. Orange Mike 13:13, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of Brassiere Edit[edit]

Hi, I noted you reverted the edit I made to brassiere. Please see the talk page since I explain the reasoning there after an exchange with the editor who added this nonsense. I've looked into the claims by the authors and this is not at all scientifically supported. The editor who added this has a history on wikipedia of adding fringe ideas that make scientific/health claims with no scientific basis. See this discussion for the flavor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jfdwolff/Archive_27#POV_pushing Do you have a particular reason for leaving this in? Let me know. Unreadable part of "Corset" article[edit]

In Corset, you've written something I can't work out how to correct. The boldest parts are the hardest to understand.

"If a corset is correct the chest been immediately high and broad in corset, in the same way as the chest been high and broad by a pregnancy, by the pressure from the womb. But many corsets have (especially for beginners) a serious problem with the amount of pressure exerted on the ribs and chest cavity. A correct corset is too big in the top, before it is tightened. Compression of the chest can lead to serious illness. Wearing a tight corset may lead to difficulty breathing. If a girl who has not yet developed wider hips uses a corset without a wasp waist or shoulder straps, the corset can only compress the chest. And all entrails will be moved together and down. Its [4] and liver.[5] Developing children are far more vulnerable to the potential health risks of corset use. As such, corsets should only be worn by fully-formed adults, never by growing children."

Can you let me (or others) know what you mean by this, so that we can edit it into something more readable?

It is a resume of the following following sources:

"If a corset is correct designed is it build as the chest been immediately been high and broad, as a compensation for the smaller volume in the waist. In the same way as the chest been high and broad by a pregnancy, by the pressure from the womb and small volume for the rest of entrails. But many corsets have (especially for beginners) a serious problem with the amount of pressure exerted on the ribs and chest cavity. A correct corset is too big in the top, before it is tightened. Compression of the chest can lead to serious illness. Wearing a tight corset may lead to difficulty breathing. If a girl who has not yet developed wider hips uses a corset without a wasp waist or shoulder straps, the corset can only compress the chest (because a pressure up demand a place for pressure down). And when the chest been compressed all entrails had need to been moved down. Developing children are far more vulnerable to the potential health risks of corset use. As such, corsets should only be worn by fully-formed adults, never by growing children."

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm![edit]

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 10:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Medieval Warm Period, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- TS 13:04, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is edit warring. Please do not do that, especially in articles covered by the climate change probation. A better approach would be to start a discussion at Talk:Medieval Warm Period and reach a consensus with your fellow volunteers. Thank you, - 2/0 (cont.) 07:16, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a short time to prevent further disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at Medieval Warm Period. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text your reason here below. - 2/0 (cont.) 04:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When someone reverts an image you have added to an article, it is best practice to discuss the matter on the talkpage rather than insisting that the change must be made. When the article in question is currently under probation, as noted above, this is doubly true. Triply so when the stated reason for reversion includes a question of the copyright status of the image in question; Wikipedia intends to take copyrighted intellectual property very seriously indeed. I am not familiar with the ins and outs of Danish copyright law, but I believe that in this instance the status of the original data would come into play. For comparison, I am comfortable releasing File:Measles US 1944-2007 inset.png into the public domain because it is based on data that is itself PD as a work for hire by the US government (as confirmed at the cited sources). Without citing a source, there is no way for your fellow editors to verify the copyright status of that image. Please be more careful in future. - 2/0 (cont.) 04:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Tharckabaw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hang on to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 04:23, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article David Tharckabaw has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the prod blp tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ttonyb (talk) 14:44, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2011 Burma border clashes, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2010 Burma border clashes. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:34, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Boue souers deletion discussion[edit]

This article has been recently started by a very inexperienced user, it would be very helpful if you could bring in your knowledge to help decide notability. Discussion is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boue souers. Richiez (talk) 00:13, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kayan New Land Party has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

After less than a month, development of this article has been abandoned. No reliable secondary source has been supplied to demonstrate that this organization is sufficiently notable to warrant an article on Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Glory of Rome requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. noq (talk) 18:31, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, as you did at Kayan Lahwi, you may be blocked from editing. The Bushranger One ping only 23:19, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Repeatedly moving pages in a disruptive manner, even when the matter was being discussed. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. • Hej Haabet. Bedste hilsner. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 22:06, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Uspatent131873 1872.gif needs authorship information[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Uspatent131873 1872.gif appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the own template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:37, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
authorship is "THOMAS S. GILBEET"

Files missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media files you uploaded as:

are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:09, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of trees of Denmark has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

In the category 'Trees by country' this is the only one that is a list article; would be better to delete and tag species as such for a category in line with standards.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
