By any chance, are you the original author of Charles J. Pedersen? I noticed that it was copied more-or-less verbatim from [1], and I became suspicious (Wikipedia does not allow the posting of copyrighted material). However, considering your username, I'm going to make the leap that you're Richard Cleaveland, his stepson in-law, and that you have permission to use this text for Wikipedia. Is this the case?
