{{spoiler}}

"The leader of Zanarkand, Yu Yevon, refused to surrender, so Bevelle were on the brink of unleashing their deadly machina weapon, Vegnagun."

  • Vegnagun was built during the Bevelle-Zanarkand war, but was never considered for deployment because of the massive flaws in its target recognition system.

"thrown one thousand years into the future."

  • Tidus was never actually thrown 1000 years into the future. He merely passed from the Dream Zanarkand into the real world. The dream Zanarkand exists in the here and now, it is simply set 1000 years in the past. Also, I added an image of Zanarkand. PiccoloNamek 08:49, Oct 2, 2004 (UTC)
    • Response: I was aware of that fact, but felt the need to say that he was thrown into the future for the benefit of anyone who had not played the game. Any game spoilers for the game should be included within the Spoiler section, after the warning. -Redkun
  • Looks good, although as far as I know I didn't reveal any game facts. Your wording is much better for the reader, however. PiccoloNamek 23:28, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)
    • Perhaps I was being pedantic, but I thought that your use of the word "supposedly" in "supposedly hurled 1000 years into the future" strongly implied that Tidus was not really thrown into the future, which might have counted as a game spoiler. You didn't reveal any game secrets, but were dangerously close to doing so. -Redkun
  • I suppose I will have to be more careful with my wording in future article edits. My other article edits aren't so sloppy. :)PiccoloNamek 00:09, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

I fail to see how any of this information could be useful in Spira. 99% of it is already discussed. Personally, I think the article should simply be re-directed. There are also a few mainstory details, which I've tried to avoid as much as possible in Spira. It's okay to give a basic explanation of "This happened here and this happened here" but very detailed explanations of events that happen during the course of the game are not for Spira. I feel the same about about Via Purifico and Bikanel Island.

Yeah, I agree. I put some of the Bikanel and Via Purifico information into their respective articles on the Spira page, although I agree that a lot of it is unnecessary. Deckiller 12:37, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
