Kipling[edit]

"It is probably not a complete coincidence that Warren Mitchell as Alf Garnett looks exactly like Rudyard Kipling." - I find is such a pity that Wikipedia has such a relentlessly pseudo liberal-leftwing bias. DRG

Racism[edit]

Should this article not attempt to address the significant questions of race and how Alf Garnett represented a section of society and it attitudes ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.149.117.67 (talk) 12:40, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Alf Garnett character was a portrayal of traditional Cockney working class racism, which was notorious throughout Britain. Garnett's racism owed more to ignorance than any real understanding of the issues involved, which was an accurate reflection of the attitudes of the time. The later portayal of Garnett made this clear. --Ef80 (talk) 21:57, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
