COMMENTS: He did not "persuade" Haile Selassie to leave the aeroplane. Haile Selassie called for him because he was not a part of the Government's welcoming party, and he knew that Planno was the only one who could command the respect of the worshippers and other observers to simmer down and make way for his magesty to disembark.
