Hi ! The date of creation of the UNEP is written to be on the 5th June 1972, actually, it was created by the UN Resolution 2997 (XXVII) of 15 December 1972. I do not know how to correct it in the main page ... Solenn1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Solenn1 (talkcontribs) 16:22, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to fill these articles in ASAP. Please contribute! --GenkiNeko 21:47, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Yo! On UNEP Page it says Organization was established in 1972, not 1973. Thanxs, **** Does anyone know of a website Titled "Freshwater Stress" whose website URL is www.unep.org/vitalwater/21.htm#21b and is said to be from the United Nations Environment program but it will not come up on my computer, so is it a real web site?

Fair use rationale for Image:UNEP (E).BW.jpg[edit]

Image:UNEP (E).BW.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I removed text from two but the unfoundation.org source took from us around 2010. Thanks for reporting it.--NortyNort (Holla) 12:36, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New treaty regulating mercury use[edit]

For the last 20 minutes I've been trying to find information about it on Wikipedia (sample media article here), and expected to find some info on this article, but there isn't any. Does the information belong in this article, and if not, where should it go? Should it have its own article? —Ynhockey (Talk) 14:40, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Official name change[edit]

A few edits have been going on changing "UNEP" to "UN Environment". Can anyone verify the authenticity of these? The UN website seems to support this. This may require a page renaming too. RoCo(talk) 14:13, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
