Welcome[edit]

Hello Sci guy, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions on HIV and AIDS. It looks like you've been around for over a fortnight, and probably have got the hang of Wikipedia, but I thought it would be good to give you the proper welcome, even belatedly. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Hi, whoever you are. Please visit [1], a new wikicity for AIDS Dissent. Our time would be much better spent there than here. Revolver

Survey request[edit]

Hi, Sci guy I need your help. I am working on a research project at Boston College, studying creation of medical information on Wikipedia. You are being contacted because you have been identified as an important contributor to one or more articles.

Would you will be willing to answer a few questions about your experience? We've done considerable background research, but we would also like to gather the insight of the actual editors. Details about the project can be found at the user page of the project leader, geraldckane. Survey questions can be found at geraldckane/medsurvey. Your privacy and confidentiality will be strictly protected!

The questions should only take a few minutes. I hope you will be willing to complete the survey, as we do value your insight. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Professor Kane if you have any questions. Thank You, BCproject (talk) 07:36, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Group for the Scientific Reappraisal of the HIV-AIDS Hypothesis[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Group for the Scientific Reappraisal of the HIV-AIDS Hypothesis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:ORG; apparently insufficient coverage in reliable sources to establish organisation's notability, derived from a single letter to the editor

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 20:31, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've now added the article to Articles for Deletion, and I encourage you to comment there if you like. Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 20:34, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good article reassessment for HIV[edit]

HIV has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here. Phoenix of9 06:33, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
