Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. You might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. For ideas of what to put on your user page, see Wikipedia:User page.

If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. :) Angela. 16:09, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Hope you don't think I was too hard on your T-Bird article. It was a good first effort and I was happy to see it. Here are a few points to keep in mind, though. You should always link to other Wikipedia articles, or your piece will be a dead end. Also, picture copyrights are a tricky issue and I'm afraid yours may not be usable. Advertising is normally copyright to the manufacturer, and just because Ford gave permission for the original page to use it, doesn't mean it's necessarily released for use anywhere else. (See Wikipedia:Contributing_FAQ#Copyrights). Also, NPOV (Neutral Point of View) is important. Thankfully, car articles aren't usually controversial, but still it's good to keep in mind that the reader has a right to his/her own opinion, so keep yours out of sight. If you're interesting in making more auto-related contributions, check out Wikipedia:WikiProject_Automobiles. Hope to see more of your work! RivGuySC 03:42, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Image:Tbird 1980.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tbird 1980.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 21:34, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
