Merger proposal[edit]

Sliced and eaten like cake?[edit]

The 'alternative version' apparently commonly eaten in the north of England and is cut into slices and 'eaten like cake' - this is something I have never heard of, and I have lived in the north of England all my life. In England, rice pudding is commonly made with short grain rice, milk, sugar and butter and baked in the oven for about 1½ hours. There is (apparently) something called 'rice pudding cake' but this isn't common, nor is it exactly a type of rice pudding. I strongly suspect the information about rice pudding being sliced and eaten like cake is false. Matt (talk) 11:13, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The references weren't reliable sources. Blogs and recipe sites aren't strong enough references. Sub sections should ask questions like "where did rice pudding come from?". ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:00, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
