Can you give us a cite for who says this? Are there standard demonological texts which agree on this, or is this from a single source? -- The Anome 07:26 28 Jun 2003 (UTC)

This is an old question, but I will answer it. First of all, I dont know what you consider "standard demonological texts" , but this demon is only mentioned (as far as i know) in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, which is a very canonical work on demonology by Johann Weyer. I haven't cross referenced the text in the wikipedia with the text of the Pseudomonarchia, but judging from the structure of it, I can tell that the first paragraph (except the "also known as" part) is copied verbatim from Weyer's text. About sources for this article and some other things[edit]

Well, first of all I would like to correct myself. This demon is only referred in the Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis. I've checked the most widely know translations of the text(which are those of Peterson and the Mathers/Crowley one), and I can confirm that most of the content of the article can be referenced to them. There is some minor interpretation, but I will edit that later. Also, in both texts the canonical name is Seere, not Seir, the latter only mentioned in the Mathers/Crowley version (as well as the other a.k.a.). So I'm proposing a move to Seere and a redirect of this article to that one. If no one objects I will move this article next weekend. --Legion fi (talk) 21:49, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
