Cannabis Sativa is not from East Asia[edit]

Cannabis Sativa is indigenous to the southern basin of the the Caspian Sea. Early botanists found it grew wild in northern Persia but speculated it must only be indigenous to the Caucuses since they thought the ancient Greeks did not mention cannabis. In the 20th century numerous references to hemp and cannabis were found in Ancient Greek writings. The modern scientific consensus is that cannabis sativa is native to the Caucasuses and northern Persia. No scholars have postulated that cannabis sativa is indigenous to East Asia. 2601:8C:8202:9860:9907:32F9:DE70:99E3 (talk) 20:47, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
