Whole number

Whole number is a colloquial term in mathematics. The meaning is ambiguous. It may refer to either:

  • Natural number, an element of the set {0, 1, 2, ...} or of the set {1, 2, 3, ...}
  • Integer, an element of the set {..., −2, −1, 0, 1, 2, ...}
