Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Lst27 (talk) 22:01, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Photos[edit]

Thanks for the Hearst Mining photos! Go Bears. I think it does a good job of illustrating how metal can look (almost) like stone. I'll go ahead and put a caption on saying as much, and start a stub on the building as a whole.--Polyparadigm 02:08, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the table, but it looks like Badgered has won te Oscar, when they haven't been announced yet. User:Zoe|(talk) 04:09, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DM archiving[edit]

I appreciate your attempt to cleanup the talk page by moving some of it into an archive, but would observe that this is the first archive attempt I've seen which is topically organized. All archives thus far are purely by date. While I sympathize with yout approach, I'd suggest that it is likely to cause trouble for those attempting to review past comments. Reactions? ww 03:19, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admittedly, I had to think about it a bit myself, and for the most part stuck to chronological myself for those reasons. I deviated in the case of the one topic, because it is a discussion that keeps cropping up to a degree that I haven't seen elsewhere. I would not be inclined to separate any other topic out. --Coro 18:24, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your most recent archiving at DM has unfortunately happened just as the article went to the Mediation Cabal. Please reverse it so the talk page comments will be most easily available to the mediators and for discussion. Presumably, the mediation will be over in a few weeks and we can have another archiving attempt. Thnx. ww (talk) 16:37, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Talk:Diabetes mellitus, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Apbiologyrocks (talk) 22:49, 6 August 2009 (UTC) [reply]

Sorry for that. Just revert my revert. Didn't see you archiving it. Thought you were a vandal who likes to blank pages. I will be more careful next time. Hope you won't have any hard feelings. Apbiologyrocks (talk) 23:07, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Outline of Judaism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 00:18, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Women's history editathon[edit]

Hey - Sorry for the late notice, but since you have yourself tagged as living in the Bay Area, I thought you might appreciate notification that we’re having an event Saturday! It’ll be held at Hoyt Hall, an all-women's house of the Berkeley Student Cooperative from 3 to 6 pm tomorrow. The main event page is here. Anyone is welcome to show up, but we’re expecting a significant number of people to come who have literally never edited Wikipedia before. If you’re an experienced Wikipedian who would be able to provide useful help to some of the newbies, your presence would be especially appreciated (and it might be a good idea for you to show up at 2 or 2:30 instead of three. Thanks, Kevin Gorman (talk) 02:00, 6 April 2013 (UTC) I’m AWB’ing this message to all Wikipedians who have tagged themselves in the bay area. I’m sorry if the message isn’t of interest to you; feel free to delete it. I’ll be unlikely to send future messages in a similar way, but if really don’t want to receive future messages of this sort, please let me know. [reply]
