HM Prison Perth , Scotland, designed by Robert Reid, completed.The original Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf , Germany, opens to the public. (It is destroyed by bombing in 1943 and later rebuilt at a different location.)
The Egyptian Hall in Piccadilly , London , designed by P. F. Robinson , is completed (demolished in 1905).
St. John's Cathedral (Belize City) is completed, the first church to be built in the colony of British Honduras .The Flag Tower of Hanoi is completed.
