Hi. I like your idea to use Wikipedia as a teaching tool. Good luck:) Optim 09:15, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi! Just wanted to make sure you've seen Wikipedia:School and university projects. You aren't the first to use Wikipedia for a class, so you might be interested in seeing what our policies are on this, and in hearing the experiences others have had. There's an ongoing project right now with a class in Hong Kong. Good luck, Isomorphic 18:29, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I wasn't too worried about your students either, since they're graduate management students instead of, say, high school students. I just figured you might be interested in what's been done by others, and how well it's worked out. Hope it works out well for you. Isomorphic 15:23, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)

At least two of your people put in copyright violations today: please see User:Espen/emba/studemba. Would you be willing to look through all of their user contributions for possible violations? Someone needs to. Please let me know whether you are taking it on; if not, I will reluctantly do it myself. -- Jmabel 00:39, Aug 17, 2004 (UTC)

Hi. Please see India International seminar assignment created by User:Lottagaa. Probably it has something to do with User:Espen/emba/studemba. I don't know what it is. But, this page doesn't contain encyclopaedic material. utcursch 13:15, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Wikis in businesses[edit]

Hi there,

I am a student of business administration at the University of Passau, Germany. I recently wrote a thesis on the use of wikis in the business environment and have used your paper as reference. Since you wrote a paper about it yourself I was wondering if you'd be interested in my findings. Cheers, --Jpkoester1 18:59, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

Teaching with Wikipedia[edit]

Henrik Wergeland FA push for 200th anniversary[edit]

On June 17th, it will be 200 years since Henrik Wergeland was born. I think it would be a worthy ambition to improve the article to the point that it can be the featured article on June 17th. This will require quite a bit of editing, consulting sources, and coordinating with the folks who decide the FA queue. I will do my bit on the editing side, and hope others will as well. We also need someone to persuade the FA editor(s) to at least allow for the possibility of featuring the article if it is up to snuff. I may post a similar request in no.wikipedia.org and nn.wikipedia.org. --Leifern (talk) 17:33, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm![edit]

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 07:33, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your old user pages[edit]

I found your user pages while checking out some old deletedcontributions. I have gone ahead and history merged your user page with your full name at User:Espen, and I've moved the old edits of the other page to User:Espen/Old. Hope you don't mind. Graham87 14:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Espen! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 971 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

 1. Baby Gramps - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

One of your students[edit]

Hi Espen, one of your apparent students, User:S1010159, has been adding information to numerous articles that has simply been copied and pasted from other websites and news sources. I have pointed out to him or her that this is a copyright violation, which we cannot accept, but if you would like to emphasise this to your students it would be great. Also, have you taken a look at WP:SUP? You may wish to list your class there. Best, Strange Passerby (talkcont) 00:59, 10 May 2011 (UTC) I will check this out, just saw it. I assume you have alerted the user? User:Espen May 23, 2011.[reply]

Page move[edit]

I am currently feeling very frustrated that this student project remains stubbornly dumb, refusing to announce itself or talk in any way. So I was glad to see that you act properly. It is not very important but I have moved User:Espen/gra6834 to Wikipedia:BI Norwegian Business School GRA6834 along with its sub-page because it is more in-line with our conventions on user projects. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:40, 17 October 2011 (UTC) OK. Nomination of Execucom for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Execucom is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Execucom until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 17:45, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
