Untitled[edit]

Was this article pasted from somewhere? There are lots of tabs in the text. I've introduced some material into this article that I think sheds extra light on the subject. (I found a good BBC article that I have drawn from.) Too tired to do any more re-editing tonight. But I hope someone will pick up, correct and develop upon any mistakes I may have made. Paul Getty is an interesting topic! Johnno2

Name[edit]

In retrospect, he is almost invariably known as "John Paul Getty". Should the title of the article be altered? IXIA (talk) 18:05, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As no-one has disagreed with this in nearly 18 months, I'll make the move. --Dweller (talk) 14:21, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Personal problems[edit]

The article says, "After his father's death [in 1976], he was able to stop using drugs." But then, "in 1984 in a final attempt to end his drug addiction, checked himself into a London clinic." This seems a bit contradictory; furthermore, there's no indication elsewhere in the article that he started using drugs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ortonmc (talkcontribs) 03:05, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wealth[edit]

Where did he get the 1.6 billion dollars from? 129.247.247.240 (talk) 13:52, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

London Clinic[edit]

The dates currently provided for the stay at the London Clinic are a bit confusing: entrance in 1984, exit in 1986 and duration of 9 months. I suppose there were multiple stays and 9 months was either the longest stay or the sum of the durations, but it would be nice to clarify. Nemo 11:02, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
