Copying and pasting what? Also, it's Quezon Service Cross, to use the term "award" for a decoration is wrong. Also, I noticed you removed "benefaction" etc, but that's in the official criteria, should we perhaps put it in quotes so it's not viewed as POV? Thanks. 1) Please state your sources. Believe me , when you don't its like honey for bee-like copyright checkers.

2) If you did copy state at the bottom with something like courtesy of or this material is a copy of.

3) Ideas can't be copyrighted so rewrite. Read , then write from memory without looking at the original.

4) I think the Quezon Service Cross came from here . Second paragraph down at the ninoy material. There are maaaany people who copy and paste and it takes too much time to rewrite. They really are very strict here . Please be careful. Please understand.

Jondel, both the press statement and the article on Wikipedia quoted the law, here is the actual provision: (EO 236, actual text):

"SECTION 5. Honors Conferred.

I. Quezon Service Cross (Krus ng Serbisyo ni Quezon) –

Created by Joint Resolution No. 4 dated October 21, 1946 of the First Congress of the Republic of the Philippines, the Quezon Service Cross is a Decoration conferred by the President of the Philippines with the concurrence of the Congress of the Philippines on Filipino citizens for exemplary service to the nation in such a manner and such a degree as to add great prestige to the Republic of the Philippines, or as to contribute to the lasting benefit of its people.

Nominations for the Quezon Service Cross shall state the services meriting the award and shall be made only in cases where the service performed or contribution made can be measured on the scale established by the national benefaction of the late President Manuel L. Quezon."

The EO terms were lifted, in term, almost verbatim from Joint Resolution No. 4:

"[JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4]

JOINT RESOLUTION TO CREATE THE QUEZON SERVICE CROSS FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE NATION IN MEMORY OF THE LATE PRESIDENT MANUEL L. QUEZON.

Quezon is and should be a shining inspiration to the people of the Philippines now and in the future; WHEREAS, the values and ideals exemplified in the resplendent public service of the late President Manuel L. Quezon constitute a standard by which other contributions to the people's welfare can be compared and evaluated; WHEREAS, the unselfish devotion to the public good and the supreme sacrifice of life in the cause of his country made of Manuel L. Hey again. I was just curious if you need help with the signature feature of wikipedia. For example, like this "--Noypi380 16:11, 17 December 2005 (UTC)". If you are not familiar, I can help. During editing, one would find 11 buttons on top of the editing box. Press the second button from the right, after you finish writing you're text. Hi Noypi. Unfortunately, we're stuck on the point that the Office of the Vice-President Website carries information on Trias being a VP and so, that information has to be reproduced in Wikipedia. As I've repeatedly argued, we must strive for a certain level of consistency. If Malolos was the First Republic, than any regime that came before was not a government in the full sense of the word. According to the verifiable content policy, as long as the OVP source is labeled the "official" source, and it is unchallenged by a credible third party source: Then the OVP roster is the basis of the wikipedia roster. Order of Sikatuna[edit]

Oh, and by the way, in the article, Pacto de Sangre links to the metal band of the same name, not the actual ritual made between Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. Let me point out again that the current link to Pacto de Sangre still links to the metal band (as opposed to the El pacto de sangre painting of Juan Luna) which, if I'm not wrong, has absolutely nothing to do at all with the article. Maybe remove the wiki link and change to italics to denote Spanish translation of blood compact, i.e., instead of Pacto de Sangre, Pacto de sangre. Order of Sikatuna is based on historical fallacy[edit]

In the talk page, I discuss the historical fallacy that underpins the creation of the Order. The Sikatuna-Legazpi blood compact was not a treaty, it was not the first recorded blood compact, and Sikatuna was not the only datu who participated in the blood letting. The first blood compact, named casi casi by Ferdinand Magellan, took place at the island-port of Mazaua on Holy Thursday, March 28, 1521, 44 years before the event immortalized in Juan Luna’s painting, which was the inspiration for the Executive Order creating the Order of Sikatuna. The first treaty was called Peace Treaty by Magellan. It occurred on Tuesday, April 9, 1521 in Cebu and was entered into by raia Humabon, king of Cebu, binding his kingdom, and Magellan, for and in behalf of the Spanish Crown. For precision's sake, it was not a treaty between the Philippines and Spain, two sovereign nations. The idea of a nation did not come into the Filipino's consciousness not until the 19th century. I might add that "precision" is only another name for truth.

If we then follow the logic behind the Executive Order creating the Order of Sikatuna, the decoration should be renamed Order of Raias Siaiu and Humabon, combining the ideas of blood brotherhood and treaty of peace.

The Philippine government should move swiftly to correct this lapse in historical precision. A similar Order, the Order of Kalantiaw, has been removed once it was established beyond doubt that Kalantiaw was a hoax. But it took eighteen (18) years after the hoax had been exposed by historian William Henry Scott. Those who received the decoration, usually retired Chief Justices of the Philippine Supreme Court and in rare cases Associate Justices, are now holding dubious distinctions if not indeed worthless awards.

The same will happen with the Order of Sikatuna award except that this leaves the Republic of the Philippines open to the charge of incompetence in establishing historical fact and truth. Better to solve the problem now than to keep on living with a fraud. Indeed, a hoax. 2019 US Banknote Contest[edit]

November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
