Untitled[edit]

This needs NPOVing, and a basic definition of what a birthing center is.Vicki Rosenzweig

A birth center is a place where laboring couples can have their babies without the risk of hospital germs or the disease orientation.

Here we try to maintain a neutral point of view. We don't try and push one side to the story, and try to keep an even balance of the positive and negative views on one issue. Fix the comparison with hospitals section plz[edit]

Suggestion for Links to datasets of Birth Centers in the US[edit]

I work for GeoCommons, an open and free repository of geospatial data and maps - all available under creative commons. I have created a geographic dataset on the location of Birth Centers from the American Association of Birth Centers that can be mapped using our software or downloaded in formats compatible with ESRI or Google earth. I think a link to this dataset: http://finder.geocommons.com/overlays/11817 would be a good addition to this article. Also, a link to the map would be good: http://maker.geocommons.com/maps/8348. If anyone would like to add this, please do.
