Relations[edit]

I'm not clear on the family realtions, how is Gerard related to Leopold? - Jerryseinfeld 07:04, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)

"He is the father of Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus."
"Another cousin is Robert Louis-Dreyfus, the former chief executive officer of Adidas."
According to the article about Robert Louis-Dreyfus, "Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus is his [Robert's] cousin."

Does Gerard and his daughter share the same cousin or is one statement inaccurate? In that case, which one?
(Robert seems to be 14 years younger than Gerard and 15 years younger than Julia so the age difference is the same) - Dhaka-dice (talk) 12:43, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gérard Louis-DreyfusWilliam Louis-Dreyfus – The name he used for his entire adult life, and that is used in his obituary, is William. It's also how he chose to identify himself. Genealogizer (talk) 06:45, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per Forbes and just about ever other English news source. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:30, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Most English news sources use "William", and Louis-Dreyfus himself did. Google search results for "William Louis-Dreyfus" vastly outnumber results for "Gérard Louis-Dreyfus" (9.5 million vs 369 thousand). Genealogizer (talk) 20:15, 28 August 2017 (UTC) user blocked as sock per SPI[reply]

Porges surname[edit]

The surname Porges if you internet search on it is Sephardic Jewish and Central European associated with Prague. This Sephardic family had members who migrated to France and might have converted. RichardBond (talk) 02:35, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
